HOUSTON -- Seatronics has spent nearly $2 million on new rental items and equipment from US manufacturers and suppliers.
The new equipment, which includes kit such as Marine Magnetics magnetometers, Edgetech subottom profilers, Kongsberg Inc. and Sonardyne Inc. hydro-acoustic positioning systems, and Teledyne RDI ADCP instruments, has been purchased to help improve Seatronics' service to local clients in the USA.
The purchase follows the opening of the company's new $200,000 calibration laboratory and $50,000 cable molding facilities at its Houston base in July 2008. These facilities have nearly doubled the size of Seatronics' US operations.
