OSLO -- Eni Norge has submitted the Impact Assessment Plan (IA) for the Goliat field to the MPE.
The licensees are recommending that Goliat will be developed using subsea wells linked to a circular FPSO. According to the company, use of the circular FPSO makes it possible to utilize a power supply concept for the project based on electricity supplied from land combined with a gas turbine on the offshore installation. This will result in significantly lower levels of CO2 emissions, the company says.
