Offshore Staff
ABERDEEN, UK -- Sasol Ltd. has awarded a contract to SPD to plan and manage drilling operations offshore Mozambique.
The multi-million dollar contract has a minimum duration of three years, and includes a drilling program of two firm, and four optional wells. The first well is due to spud in 4Q 2008.
"We are extremely excited about the award of this contract and view it as the first step in developing a long term strategic alliance with Sasol," says Alex Macdonald, SPD's technical director. "The drilling program is technically challenging and the shared values of the two companies are well-aligned."
