Aker Solutions to supply offloading systems

Aker Solutions has been awarded contracts for the supply of offloading systems, the company announced at Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) on Tuesday, Aug. 26. The total value of the contracts is approximately NOK 85 million ($16 million).

STAVANGER, Norway -- Aker Solutions has been awarded contracts for the supply of offloading systems, the company announced at Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) on Tuesday, Aug. 26. The total value of the contracts is approximately NOK 85 million ($16 million).

The first contract is from the JV Euronav/OSG. It calls for the supply of offloading systems for two FSOs. The disconnectable systems will be configured with mooring and offloading equipment for installation on the stern/bow of the vessels. The systems can operate at rates up to 15,000 m3/hr.

The other contract is from MODEC for delivery of two offloading systems for connection to FPSOs.

Aker Solutions will deliver the systems in 1Q and 2Q 2009.
