Offshore staff
ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands -- KBR has awarded Fairstar Heavy Transport (FAIR) a $23-million multiple voyage contract. Fairstar's semisubmersible heavy transport vessel Fjord will deliver the EGTL modules for Chevron from Abu Dhabi to the Escravos River in Nigeria.
TheFjord will make a total of three consecutive round trip voyages over the course of the contract. The first cargo is scheduled for pick up in February 2009.
