Luxembourg – Petrobras has awarded Subsea 7 two contracts for construction services offshore Brazil.

One is an extension to a three-year contract for the Acergy Harrier, valued at around $40 million. The vessel, which has worked for Petrobras for the past 13 years, will provide saturation diving services in water depths of up to 300 m (984 ft) for installation, inspection, maintenance and repair tasks, and ROV services for operations in water depths of up to 2,500 m (8,202 ft).

This new contract will run from end-January through November 2011, when the Acergy Harrier is due to start work on the Sul-Norte Capixaba Project.

Subsea 7 also received a lump-sum contract to install two manifolds on the Tambaú Field and a pipeline end manifold on the Jubarte Field in water depths of around 1,200 m (3,937 ft). The Skandi Energy will manage installations during the first part of this year.
