Wood Group strengthens brownfield capability

ABERDEEN, UK – Wood Group has acquired Pyeroy Group, a provider of coatings, access, and fabric maintenance services to the oil and gas industry.

Pyeroy, based in Gateshead, northeast England, was formed in 1973 and employs about 1,800 personnel at eight locations in the UK and Ireland.

Managing Director Hugh Pelham will continue to lead the company, which will operate within the Wood Group PSN division, a specialist in offshore brownfield engineering and construction, operations and maintenance, and decommissioning services.
