TGS to conduct first 3D multi-client seismic survey offshore Brazil

TGS, in partnership with Dolphin Geophysical, will acquire a new 3D multi-client survey, Olho de Boi, covering 5,000 sq km (1,931 sq mi) offshore Brazil.

HOUSTON –TGS, in partnership with Dolphin Geophysical, will acquire a new 3D multi-client survey, Olho de Boi, covering 5,000 sq km (1,931 sq mi)offshore Brazil. The survey will image presalt plays in the Campos basin, northeast of the Pão de Açúcar discovery in an area of similar structural and stratigraphic characteristics.
The Olho de Boi survey will be TGS' first 3D survey in Brazil, and the M/VSanco Swift will acquire the seismic data. TGS will perform data processing, using its Clari-Fi broadband processing technology. Data will be available to clients in 4Q 2014.
