The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has introduced Spotlight on New Technology, a program that recognizes OTC exhibitors who have introduced new and advanced technologies to the offshore oil and gas industry.

This inaugural program will launch at OTC .04, "Innovation Without Limits," May 3 - 6, 2004 at Reliant Center in Houston. The Spotlight on New Technology program gives exhibiting companies an opportunity to present their newest and most advanced technologies to the OTC audience, comprised of more than 50,000 industry leaders.

"Spotlight on New Technology allows exhibitors to showcase their hard work, creativity, and edge-of-the-envelope, practical thinking," said OTC .04 Chairman, Rod Allan. "The program reinforces that OTC is the must-attend event for technological innovations and advances impacting the global offshore industry."

To be considered for the Spotlight on New Technology program, the exhibiting company's technology must meet four key criteria:
• New and Innovative – The technology must be less than two years old
• Proven – The technology must be proven, either through full-scale application or successful prototype testing
• Broad Interest – The technology must have broad interest and appeal for the industry
• Significant Impact – The technology must provide significant benefits beyond existing technologies.

Exhibitors may submit their new technologies entries to OTC for consideration until Jan. 9, 2004. Each application will be review by a panel of judges comprised of members of the OTC board of directors.

Companies that meet the stated criteria and are chosen to be showcased will be recognized through a variety of special awareness opportunities flanking OTC .04.
