ABERDEEN, UK – Stena Drilling has awarded Sparrows Group a 20-month inspection services contract for its fleet of drilling vessels.
Sparrows will perform LOLER lifting gear and potential dropped objects surveys, cargo carrying unit and non-destructive testing inspections, and rig-specific maintenance.
The company previously performed similar duties for Stena over an eight-year period.
Earlier this year, Statoil awarded the company a five-year cranes/maintenance services contract for theMariner development in the UK’s East Shetland basin.
