The West Cameron 417 No. 1 well is producing at a gross rate of 12 MMcf/d. It was brought online, from discovery to first production, in seven months, said Wiser Oil and partners.
The companies report the A-2 well has completed and is now producing at Eugene Island 302. On a gross combined basis, the A-1 and A-2 wells are producing at 2,300 bbl and 16.8 MMcf/d.
The South Marsh Island 93 No. 1 well began producing late in the quarter at an initial rate of 1,500 b/d and 2 MMcf/d. An additional well is planned for this block later this year. Drilling has begun on the East Cameron 185 No. 2 well at 15,275 ft proposed total depth. The Ship Shoal 164 No. 1 well was plugged and abandoned after failing to encounter commercial quantities of hydrocarbons.
Wiser Oil plans to participate in at least two additional offshore wells as part of its 2002 offshore exploration program.
