Woodside Energy has awarded the Technip-Coflexip Oceania and Subsea 7 joint venture a $55 million contract for the subsea installation part of the Trunkline Systems expansion project. This is the second trunkline from the Goodwyn and Rankin gas condensate fields on the northwest shelf of Australia. The new line will facilitate an increased production from existing and potentially new fields in the area.
The scope of work includes the tie-in of the pipeline into the existing infield facilities close to the north Rankin A platform, using hyperbarically welded and flanged spool pieces and a 350Te valve manifold, dewatering and conditioning of the trunkline, and its stabilization by installing 900 concrete gravity anchors. Following start-up of the pipeline, extensive pipeline system modifications will be carried out on the existing first trunkline at north Rankin A platform.
The offshore work will be carried out in three phases from August 2003 through April 2004. Technip-Coflexip's vessel CSO Venturer will be used.
