HOUSTON– Umbilicals International has expanded its Houston manufacturing capacity with two new cable production lines.
The new machines are a 56 position dual purpose planetary cabling and armoring line, and a 12 position large reel capacity cabling line suitable for production of dynamic cables of 4 km (2.5 mi) and longer, said the company, which is part of the Seanamic Group.
Umbilicals International said its cables and umbilicals are designed specifically for dynamic, load bearing applications where frequent deployment and recovery of the attached system is required.
