(Canada)- Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd. (HMDC) is looking for qualified companies capable of excavating glory holes for a possible offshore Newfoundland development. The closing date for this expression of interest is Oct. 24, 2005, and the decision on whether to proceed with the development will come in 1Q 2006.
The scope of the work includes the excavation of 1-2 glory holes during summer 2006 using a trailing hopper suction dredger. The chosen company will also be expected to excavate pipeline exit corridors, deposit dredged soil to an HMDC-specified location, and perform any post-excavation dimensional surveys.
The subsea project will include a number of wells tied back to the Hibernia platform, and will be located in approximately 80 m of water. The subsea field layout will feature one or two drilling centers located 5 km from the platform. The glory holes will be approximately 10 m deep.
Interested parties should submit a comprehensive profile of their resources and experience relative to the identified contract scope.
