(US, GoM) - Twachtman Snyder & Byrd, Inc. (TSB) of Houston has recently been awarded a fast-track decommissioning contract by Anglo-Suisse Offshore Partners (ASOP), a Houston-based independent Gulf of Mexico energy producer.

The contract workscope includes all phases of project management services, well plugging & abandonment, pipeline abandonment and all other aspects associated with securing and abandonment of ASOP platforms and facilities. TSB will conduct all offshore operations for this project in the West Delta area, which was severely impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

"The overall project is unique in that TSB will supply the ROV inspection services, personnel and equipment to secure and/or plug & abandon any damaged wells, along with all project management services required to assist ASOP in the abandonment of their damaged facilities," said the company.

In addition, TSB says the project management services portion of the contract includes such areas as decommissioning planning for damaged facilities and working with the MMS and other applicable government authorities to secure all necessary approvals and permits.
