Total extends Congo drilling term

Total Congo has extended the production drilling contract for Smedvig's self-erecting semi-tender rigWest Menang. The new program, which has an estimated duration of two years, will include drilling of seven extended reach wells.

The $61 m extension period should start in February. Total Congo also has an option to lengthen the contract by a further six months.
