Langeled tie-in award
Statoil contracted Subsea 7 on behalf of the Langeled Group to provide tie-ins of the 1,200-km Langeled pipeline to subsea valves and structures. The $60-million contract was awarded to the Stolt Subsea 7 joint venture. Work will be performed under an existing Statoil hyperbaric welding and diving services contingency contract.
Offshore work for Langeled (the pipeline taking gas from the Ormen Lange field off Norway to eastern England) will be conducted in three campaigns starting this summer and concluding late in 2006. The scope includes fabricating and tying in spools and removing temporary riser installation aids.
