Heavy offshore forgings
Kohlswa Gjuteri is a Swedish steel foundry specializing in manufacture of high grade and stainless cast steel components for anchoring and mooring systems. Casting weights range from 100-8,000 kg (220-17,637 lb). Products include shackles, ram plates, swivels, tri plates, connecting links, towing pins, propeller blades, and hub bodies. Diesel engines
Volvo Penta is transferring the latest common rail diesel engine technology to the marine environment. It offers electronically and mechanically governed 3-16 liter (183-976 cu in.) engines with power outputs from 110-750 hp (81-552 kW) for propulsion applications, combined with generating sets in the range 62-470 kWe (78-588 kWA). These systems are fully compliant with the latest emission requirements, and are designed for high performance and economic fuel consumption. The company has recently introduced ATEX-compliant engines for Zone 2 oil and gas applications.
