PXGEO acquires geophysical company AmpSeis

HOUSTON — Marine geophysical service provider PXGEO has acquired 100% of the share capital of AmpSeis AS, a geophysical company that develops advanced ocean-bottom nodes (OBN).

The first batch of the new nodes will be delivered in the first quarter.

PXGEO says the acquired node technology combined with MantaRay, the OBN handling system using hovering AUV, is designed to take the efficiency of OBN seismic data acquisition to the next level.
