Ulstein Yard orders Motus 3D-compensated cranes for two new vessels

MOLDE, Norway – Motus Technology AS reports that Ulstein Yard has placed an order for its 3D-compensated MMC240 cranes for two new commissioning service operation vessels for Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH. The cranes will help secure safe and efficient load handling between vessels and wind turbines.

Motus says that its 3D-compensated crane has a lifting capacity of 5 metric tons in 3D mode as well as a heavy lift capacity of 15 metric tons including active heave compensation for subsea lifting operations.

The company adds that the cranes are designed with a high focus on safety and operational efficiency, and the crane is equipped with functions like camera surveillance, an anti-pendulum system, and an anti-collision system.
