Eni holds upstream, decarbonization talks in Bahran

Discussions covered strengthening Eni’s partnership with the government in oil and gas, renewable energy and other decarbonization initiatives, including development of a CCUS project.

ENEA and RSE have calculated that if wave energy could be fully harnessed, we could obtain 2 TW of energy could be obtained, about 18 trillion KWh per year, almost equal to the entire world’s annual electricity demand. MANAMA, Bahrain — Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi has held talks with government and oil and gas officials in Bahrain.

Discussions covered strengthening Eni’s partnership with the government in oil and gas, renewable energy and other decarbonization initiatives, including development of a carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS) project in partnership with Nogaholding.

Eni/Nogaholding also discussed potential joint cooperation in solutions for upstream production optimization in deep gas structures.

In addition, Eni is assessing offshore and onshore opportunities in the upstream sector with Tatweer Petroleum.
