PENNWELL NAMES OFFSHORE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Eldon R. Ball has been named Editor-in-Chief ofOffshore magazine effective immediately.
Ball has been withOffshore for two years acting as Managing Editor, managing the day-to-day operations of the editorial staff and coordinating coverage of industry technology, news, and trends.
Group Vice President and Publisher ofOffshore magazine, Chris Barton, said, "Eldon Ball has been a tremendous asset to the Offshore team since he joined us two years ago. He brings a wealth of experience and insight to the Editor-in-Chief position. Offshore magazine will no doubt benefit from his leadership."
Before joiningOffshore, Ball held a number of writing, editing, and communications positions with Enron, Lyondell Chemical, Pennzoil, Texas Eastern Corp., and BMC Software. Ball previously served as an associate editor of Offshore, editor of Pennwell's Ocean Oil Weekly Report, and editor and associate publisher of Petroleum Management magazine. Ball has a BA degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
