Offshore staff

CALGARY, Canada -- The sale of EnCana Corp.'s 50% interest in the Chinook heavy oil discovery offshore Brazil to Norsk Hydro ASA has closed. The sale was valued at $350 million.

Block BM-C-7 with the discovery is in Campos basin. The sale leaves EnCana with 10 interest in deepwater exploration blocks off Brazil.
