WASHINGTON – On Nov. 28, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will hold an oil and gas lease sale that will make available more than 20 million offshore acres.

The sale will include all available unleased areas in the Western Gulf of Mexico Planning Area that encompasses 3,873 blocks located nine to 250 mi (14 to 402 km) offshore in water depths from 16 to more than 10,975 ft (five to 3,346 m).
