Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) has signed a strategic framework agreement with ExxonMobil, focused on joint technology R&D opportunities across the oil and gas upstream value chain. The two companies will identify technologies of mutual interest such as advanced non-metallic solutions, field testing and integrity management, smart reservoir management and well monitoring systems, and innovative emergency response systems.
Total and ADNOC will investigate joint R&D and deployment opportunities in CO2 emission reductions and carbon capture, utilization and storage. Targets include improved energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy for oil and gas operations. They will also assess the potential for enhanced oil recovery projects based on CO2 usage.
Total has withdrawn from the American Petroleum Institute.
Boskalis has acquired Rever Offshore’s subsea services business.
Petrobras plans to slim down its international presence this year, focusing its commercial operations outside Brazil at offices in Rotterdam, Houston, and Singapore. As part of the process, the commercial activities of Petrobras Europe in London will transfer during 1Q to Petrobras Global Trading in Rotterdam. Of the 18 overseas offices the company owned at the end of 2018, 10 have already closed, besides London. As for Brazil, the company will reduce its in-country administrative buildings to eight in 1Q.

Hav Kraft aims to become a leading consultant within the development of offshore wind farms, both nationally and internationally.
