People

Seadrill Ltd. has promoted Stuart Jackson from CFO to CEO. He succeeds Anton Dibowitz, who will remain as an advisor to the company until the end of 1Q 2021. Also, the company has divided the role and responsibilities of the CFO into two new roles: Grant Creed will become chief restructuring officer and Neil Gilliver will become chief accounting officer.

Ithaca Energy Ltd. has named Bill Dunnett as CEO.

Weatherford International plc has appointed Girish K. Saligram as president and CEO.

Vattenfall has appointed Anna Borg as president and CEO.

Jon Huntsman Jr. has rejoined Chevron’s board of directors. He will serve on the Management Compensation Committee and the Public Policy Committee.

The Ørsted board of directors has appointed Mads Nipper as CEO and Group President, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Robin Watson, CEO of Wood, has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday 2020 Honours List for services to British engineering, industry, and international trade.

The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers has appointed Iman Hill as executive director, effective Dec. 1, 2020.

Lloyd’s Register has appointed Nick Brown as Group CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Exxon Mobil Corp. has named Craig Morford as vice president and general counsel. He succeeds Randall Ebner.

Borr Drilling Ltd. has appointed Christoph Bausch as CFO.

The Oil and Gas Authority has appointed Andy Brooks as area manager - Central North Sea.

Neptune Energy has named Pierre Girard as director of New Energy.

Petrofac Ltd. Group CEO Ayman Asfari has decided to retire at the end of the year. On Jan. 1, 2021, Sami Iskander will assume the role of Group CEO and be appointed as an executive director to the company’s board of directors.

Prometheus Gas S.A. has appointed Elena Burmistrova as president of the board of directors.

Neil Bruce has joined the McDermott International board of directors.

Pierre Raillard has joined Chariot Oil & Gas Ltd. as Morocco country director.

Panoro has appointed Maximilian Fellner as deputy general manager and Elizabeth Loudon as development manager. 

David Linden has joined Westwood Global Energy Group as head of energy transition.

Franziska Inman has joined Blue Water Shipping as business development vice president.

RWE AG has named Dr. Markus Krebber as CEO and Dr. Michael Müller as CFO, effective July 1, 2021. The company also has appointed Zvezdana Seeger as chief human resources officer and labour director.

The 2020-2021 elected officers for the AADE Lafayette Chapter are Jude Boudreaux, president, Offshore Energy Services Inc.; Bryan Leger, first vice president, Premium Oilfield Services; Jordan Woods, second vice president, Delta Energy Consultants; Sharon Moore, treasurer, Halliburton Energy Services, Inc; and Scott Boudreaux, secretary, Intracoastal Liquid Mud Inc.

Halliburton Labs has appointed Reginald DesRoches, John Grotzinger, and Walter Isaacson as advisory board members.

TechnipFMC has named Arnaud Pieton as president and CEO-elect of Technip Energies and Jonathan Landes as president, Subsea. Margareth Øvrum has joined the TechnipFMC board of directors.

Maritime Developments has hired Andrew Blaquiere as managing director, Dave Gardiner as vice president UK and Europe, Michael Blease-Shepley as vice president Africa, and Marvin Morrison as commercial developments manager.

J+S Subsea has appointed Phil Reid as managing director, and Doug Sedge has joined its board as a non-executive director.

Longitude has appointed David Gwede as lead geotechnical engineer and Zahidur Rahman as senior consultant and naval architect, specializing in jackup vessels.

Company News

Arena Energy LP has completed its financial restructuring and has emerged from bankruptcy under the ownership of San Juan Offshore LLC.

Schlumberger, IBM, and Red Hat have agreed to collaborate on accelerating the digital transformation across the oil and gas industry. The joint initiative will provide global access to Schlumberger’s exploration and production cloud-based environment and cognitive applications by leveraging IBM’s hybrid cloud technology, built on the Red Hat OpenShift container platform.

Wilhelmsen has agreed to acquire 25% of Østensjø Group’s subsidiary Edda Wind for an undisclosed amount. The company has also secured an option to buy another 25% before June 2021.

Searcher has entered a strategic partnership with MGPalaeo to market its Australian wells database known as AUSTRALIS. This consists of revised and updated geological data for more than 2,000 wells across the North West Shelf, Perth and Otway basins, with additional basins to come. 

AqualisBraemar has opened an office in Moscow.

The Oil and Gas Technology Centre has nominated Petrofac to join the Project Data Analytics Task Force. This is a collaborative venture between a selection of hand-picked, cross-industry organizations, government bodies, and academia aiming to improve project delivery performance with data, systems, and technology.

LCI, the aviation division of the Libra Group, and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Co. Ltd. have agreed to establish and operate a joint venture helicopter leasing business.

Stress Engineering Services Inc. has launched its Digital Solutions Group. The aim of the new group is to reduce energy industry clients’ costs and manage risks through digital technologies.

PGS has signed a cooperation agreement with SurplusHub, the global online portal for selling and buying surplus oil, gas and shipping equipment and materials. PGS will use SurplusHub as a platform to potentially dispose of redundant equipment. 

Caterpillar Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire the oil and gas division of the Weir Group PLC, a Scotland-based global engineering business. Headquartered near Fort Worth, Texas, Weir Oil & Gas produces a full line of pumps, flow iron, consumable parts, wellhead and pressure control products.

Airborne Oil & Gas has changed its name to Strohm.

C-Innovation LLC has acquired the controlling interest in Caltex Oil Tools.

Wintermar Offshore Marine has received ISO 45001:2018 certification for occupational health and safety management system.

Eneco has joined the Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports Association, which represents more than 85 companies and organizations active in the North Sea Canal region with a focus on the offshore sector.

Advanced Insulation has agreed to acquire Bardot, a specialist engineer and designer of subsea facilities based in southern France. A newly formed company, AIS Bardot, will operate independently but will also collaborate with Advanced Insulation to expand the product offering to both companies’ clients.

eDrilling has established eDrilling Research, which will consolidate the company’s range of research and development efforts. 

Swire Oilfield Services has acquired Helifuel AS. The company also has appointed PT Berkah Hidup Syukur as its exclusive partner for the Indonesia market.

Bristow Group Inc. has renamed its Aeróleo division in Brazil to Bristow.

Offshore Technical Compliance LLC has opened its OTC Mexico division in Mexico City.

Proserv Controls has unveiled two facilities in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi and Cumbernauld, Scotland.

Alpha has opened a new training center in Houston after achieving accreditation from the Global Wind Organisation to deliver its basic safety training.
