OSLO, Norway – Norwegian independent Noreco is still waiting to close its acquisition of shares in Shell Danmark.

The latter holds Shell’s economic interest in the DUC consortium that previously owned majority shares in most of Denmark’s North Sea fields.

Total is the new operator following its acquisition of Maersk Oil and Gas.

The delay relates to an outstanding issue involving the seller, but Noreco expects closure in July.
