Vroon conveying crews to Dutch platform complex

Total E&P has commissioned Vroon Offshore’s walk-to-work vessel VOS Start to provide offshore logistical support for a maintenance campaign in the Dutch North Sea.

DEN HELDER, the Netherlands – Total E&P has commissioned Vroon Offshore’s walk-to-work vessel VOS Start to provide offshore logistical support for a maintenance campaign in the Dutch North Sea.

The vessel, equipped with a 50-metric ton (55-ton) active heave-compensated crane and accommodating up to 60 people, is designed to allow personnel transfers and cargo workflow between the main deck, accommodation areas, and the offshore platform.

During its first seven days of operation, the vessel completed 34 gangway connections, transferring a total of 185 people.

On completion of this project, theVOS Start will sail to the Irish Sea for walk-to-work operations for an offshore wind farm.
