SINGAPORE – Infill drilling has resumed at the Stag oil field offshore Western Australia, after operations had to be suspended due to the approach of tropical cyclone Veronica.

According to operatorJadestone Energy Inc., the jackupEnsco 107 has started work on well 49-H – it has re-entered and cleaned out the ‘donor’ well, Stag 14-H, and cut and retrieved the inner casing.

Stag 49-H, which should take around 34 days to drill, is targeting around 1.2 MMbbl of unswept 2P oil in a higher-pressure area of the field, west of the platform.
