Murphy contracts Transocean ultra-deepwater drillship

STEINHAUSEN, SwitzerlandTransocean Ltd. has provided an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

In theUS Gulf of Mexico, Murphy Oil Corp. has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Asgard a two-well contract. The contract is expected to last from May to August 2019.

Offshore Malaysia, Shell has awarded the ultra-deepwater semisubmersibleDeepwater Nautilus a six-well contract. It is expected to start in May 2019 and end in January 2020.

Offshore Brazil,Petrobras has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Ocean Rig Mykonos a 550-day contract plus an option period of 815 days. The estimated contract duration is November 2019 to May 2021.

Petrobras also awarded the ultra-deepwater drillshipOcean Rig Corcovado a 629-day contract plus an option period of 680 days. The estimated contract duration is November 2019 to May 2021.

In the UK North Sea, Premier Oil has awarded the harsh-environment semisubTransocean Leader a one-well contract. The estimated contract duration is March 2020 to June 2020.

In the Norwegian North Sea, Lundin Petroleum has exercised a one-well option for the harsh-environment semisubLeiv Eriksson.

Offshore Equatorial Guinea, ExxonMobil has exercised a six-month option for the ultra-deepwater semiDevelopment Driller III.

Offshore Angola, Eni has exercised two one-well options for the ultra-deepwater drillshipOcean Rig Poseidon.
