    Borgland Dolphin secures North Sea rig deal

    Dolphin Drilling has entered into a 94-day contract with i3 Energy for appraisal and development drilling in the UK central North Sea, using the semisub Borgland Dolphin.

    OSLO, Norway – Dolphin Drilling has entered into a 94-day contract with i3 Energy for appraisal and development drilling in the UK central North Sea, using the semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin.

    The program is scheduled to start between mid-July and mid-August. The rig holds a valid Safety Case for operation on the UK continental shelf.

    i3 Energy is looking to develop theLiberator oil field.
