McDermott wins wide-ranging offshore Middle East construction work

McDermott International has won a contract from an unnamed client in the Middle East to provide EPCI services offshore the Arabian Peninsula.

HOUSTONMcDermott International has won a contract from an unnamed client in the Middle East to provide EPCI services offshore the Arabian Peninsula.

The scope covers six new platform offshore jackets and three associated topsides; 8 km (4.9 mi) of 28-in. corrosion resistant alloy cladded pipeline; two inter-platform bridges; 8 km of composite cables; and brownfield works at the existing offshore complex.

McDermott expects to complete the program in around 34 months and will use its engineering teams in the Middle East and Chennai, India, with fabrication done primarily at its yard in Batam, Indonesia.

TheEmerald Sea, Derrick Barge 30, and Derrick Barge 50 will handle offshore installations and completions work.
