Three DOF vessels win long-term charters in Brazil

Petrobras has contracted three DOF ROV support vessels.

BERGEN, Norway– Petrobras has contracted three DOF ROV support vessels (RSV).

TheSkandi Commander, Skandi Olympia, and Skandi Chieftain will each be equipped with two work-class ROVs owned and operated by DOF Subsea Group.

The contracts have a firm duration of three years and can be extended for another two years. All three contracts are expected to begin in 2Q 2019. Estimated total firm contract value is NOK1.3 billion ($151 million).

The 2009-builtSkandi Olympia has been on charter with Fugro since her delivery. She was redelivered from Fugro at the end of 2018 and since been idle in Norway.

The 2007-builtSkandi Commander completed an RSV contract with Petrobras in November 2018 and is now working on a 60-day contract with Total in Brazil.

The 2005-builtSkandi Chieftain worked the 2018 season in Canada and has been idle in St. Johns since November 2018.
