Gazprom Neft drilling follow-up well to offshore Sakhalin discovery

MOSCOW – Oil reserves at Gazprom Neft’s Neptune field offshore Sakhalin Island have risen to 415.8 million metric tons (458.3 million tons), according to the latest estimate from Russia’s Federal Agency for Mineral Resources.

Gazprom Neft discovered the field last year with a well 55 km (34 mi) northeast of Sakhalin in 60-70 m (197-229 ft) water depth on theAyashsky license block in the Sea of Okohotsk.

CurrentlyGazpromneft-Sakhalin is working on a second well on the block.
