Faroe to drill in North Sea Oseberg area

Faroe Petroleum has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploration well 7 km (4.3 mi) north of the Oseberg field in the Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubmersibleTransocean Arctic will drill well 30/6-30, the first on PL 825, after completing a current wildcat for Wellesley Petroleum in North Sea PL 248 I.

Faroe’s license covers the northern part of block 30/6 and the southern part of block 30/3.
