OGA adds more blocks to latest UK offshore round

Britain’s Oil and Gas Authority has added 13 more full or part-blocks to the acreage available under the 31st Offshore Licensing Round.

ABERDEEN, UKBritain’s Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has added 13 more full or part-blocks to the acreage available under the 31st Offshore Licensing Round.

Applications will be accepted up to Nov. 7 through the LARRY system on the Energy Portal.

When it announced its initial offer last month, the OGA also gave companies the opportunity to propose additional blocks in more mature areas, for possible inclusion where applicants intend to commit to a substantial firm work program.

After considering the proposals, the OGA has added blocks 3/30, 4/26, 10/1a, 113/22 (drilling from adjacent block only), 211/13c, 211/14b, 211/18f, 211/18g, 217/16, 217/17, 217/18, 217/19, and 217/20.
