MELBOURNE, Australia – Melbana Energy has notice of approval from Australia’s National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) to amend its work program for two offshore licenses.
Exploration permitsAC/P50 and AC/P51 (Melbana 55% and operator) are in the Ashmore Cartier basin offshore northwest Australia.
The company applied to extend the current year 3 by 12 months to allow for additional work to be completed on top of its current commitment.
It also sought to vary the year 4 commitment by deferring one exploration well in each permit to year 5, to give it sufficient time to interpret newly acquired data.
