Offshore staff
MOSCOW – Lukoil has committed to the Rakushechnoye field development in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
The planned infrastructure includes a fixed offshore ice-resistant platform, a living quarters platform, a crossover bridge, and subsea inter-field pipelines and cable lines for the connection with the second fixed offshore ice-resistant platform at theV. Filanovsky field.
Production is due to start in 2023, peaking at 1.2 MM metric tons/yr (1.32 MM tons/yr).
Lukoil says the proximity to other producing fields allowed optimization of the project, through the use of the existing infrastructure for treatment and transportation of products and offshore power supply.
Rakushechnoye’s output will be sent for treatment to the central platform at the V. Filanovsky field center and then exported through the local pipeline system.
All offshore facilities will be constructed in the Astrakhan region, including the Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft assembly site.
Rakushechnoye was discovered in 2001, 160 km (99.4 mi) from the port of Astrakhan, 100 km (62 mi) from the Russian west coast, and 8.5 km (5.3 mi) from the V. Filanovsky field.
Water depths in the field area range from 5-8 m (16.4-26 ft). Estimated recoverable reserves are around 39 MM metric tons (43 MM tons) of oil and gas condensate, and 33 bcm of gas.
