Offshore staff

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Saipem has secured drilling contracts from three operators for programs offshore Norway, all for the semisubmersible Scarabeo 8.

The campaign should last around 10 months, excluding options.

A/S Norske Shell has committed to an optional well in relation to a contract assigned last December.

On completion, Total E&P Norge will use the rig to drill one well.

Aker BP has requested four wells, with options for two more. Operations are set to start before year-end.

Saipem has also secured decommissioning work from ConocoPhillips in the UK North Sea.
