MODEC and partners commit to Sepia FPSO venture

MODEC says that Mitsui, MOL, Marubeni, and MES have agreed to invest in a long-term charter business, Sepia MV30 B.V., for an FPSO for use in the Sepia area offshore Brazil.

TOKYO – MODEC says that Mitsui, MOL, Marubeni, and MES have agreed to invest in a long-term charter business, Sepia MV30 B.V., for an FPSO for use in the Sepia area offshore Brazil.

MV30 has entered into a 21-year charter agreement for the deployment of the FPSO withPetrobras. This will have the following capabilities:

Oil processing capacity: 180,000 b/d

Gas processing capacity: 212 MMcf/d

Oil storage capacity: 1.4 MMbbl

Mooring type: Spread moored at a depth of 2,140 m (7,0212 ft).
