OMV gets clearance for exploration drilling offshore Mid-Norway

OSLO, Norway – OMV Norge has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill the Hades & Iris prospect in the Norwegian Sea.
The semisubmersibleDeepsea Bergen will spud well 6506/11-10 on production license 644 in 342 m (1,122 ft) of water, on or after Dec. 1.
Drilling could last 142 days, depending on whether a discovery follows.
