HARTLEPOOL, UK – GE Oil & Gas has contracted JDR to supply subsea equipment for ONGC’s Vashishta and S1 fields offshore eastern India.

The location is in the KG basin, 30-35 km (18.6-21.7 mi) offshore in water depths of 250-700 m (820-2,296 ft).

JDR’s scope of supply includes engineering, design, and manufacture of 12 steel tube flying leads and associated hardware.

In addition, the company will provide design services including flow, structural, and free-spanning vortex-induced vibration analyses.

Flying leads are used to connect subsea trees to umbilical termination arrangements, manifolds and subsea distribution units. They will be manufactured at JDR’s manufacturing facility in Hartlepool, northeast England, currently undergoing expansion to include a new helical assembly machine and additional covered large capacity carousels.
