Russian giants strengthen E&P ties

Gazprom and Lukoil have signed a general agreement for a strategic partnership that runs until 2024.

ST PETERSBURG, Russia – Gazprom and Lukoil have signed a general agreement for a strategic partnership that runs until 2024.

They will examine potential projects for joint exploration, development, production in various parts ofRussia including the Caspian Sea and Far East.

Currently they are cooperating in the northern(Russian) sector of the Caspian Sea to secure natural gas supplies from Lukoil’s fields in the region, and on exploration and development of the Tsentralnoye oil, gas, and condensate field.

They also intend to cooperate on development and production projects beyond Russia.
