Dubai-based Shelf Drilling has negotiated a three-month, one-well contract for the Shelf Drilling Enterprise jackup offshore Vietnam, with operations set to start in early October following mobilization.

The rig recently completed a campaign offshore Thailand.

Another Shelf jackup, Trident 16, has had its current contract in the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt extended until November.

The combined value of the two awards is about $14 million.

In addition, subsidiary Shelf Drilling North Sea Ltd. has secured another jackup contract for its Shelf Drilling Winner rig for Tenaz Energy's offshore Netherlands operations. The firm term of the contract is one year, with the option for Tenaz to convert it to a three-year term within the first six months of operations.

The rig's operations are scheduled to begin this October or November, shortly after its current contract in Denmark ends.

Last week, Shelf Drilling North Sea also announced a one firm-well contract for the Shelf Drilling Fortress jackup in UK waters, and parent company Shelf Drilling agreed to a one-year extension for the Rig 141 jackup in the Gulf of Suez for about $23 million.
