PARIS, France  DORIS will perform a second FEED contract for the Gray Whale 3 floating offshore wind farm in South Korea.

BadaEnergy, a joint venture (JV) between Corio Generation, TotalEnergies and SK ecoplant, is developing the complex in three phases, 60-70 km from the port of Ulsan, with plans to deliver total capacity of 1.5 GW.

Last year the JV awarded the Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI)/DORIS consortium the FEED or the floating foundation FEED.

The new award covers the entire electrical and communications system to the grid connection, array and export cabling, and all aspects of the fixed offshore substation foundation and topsides structures.

DORIS plans to draw on its local resources, the capabilities of its South Korean partners and its international engineering centers.

Earlier this month, Equinor contracted DORIS to provide owner’s engineering services under a five-year master services framework agreement for the company’s offshore wind and low-carbon projects.
