Equinor adds North Sea pipeline inspections to DeepOcean contract scope

Equinor has commissioned DeepOcean to perform inspection and survey scopes this year on its pipelines in the North Sea.

HAUGESUND, Norway — Equinor has commissioned DeepOcean to perform inspection and survey scopes this year on its pipelines in the North Sea.

This covers both infield pipeline networks and Equinor’s operational responsibility for Norway’s subsea gas pipeline transportation system.

DeepOcean’s scope includes seabed mapping, ad-hoc pipeline surveys and light construction work, with the Edda Flora vessel and Superior Survey ROV allocated for survey duties.

The program is an additional award under DeepOcean’s frame agreement with Equinor for the provision of offshore survey services.

DeepOcean will manage the work from its main base in Haugesund, supported its operation in Aberdeen.
