BERGEN, Norway  Shearwater GeoServices has completed a carbon storage survey project for TotalEnergies in the Danish North Sea.

The survey covered a CO2 geological storage license awarded to the operator this February.

Over the past two years, Shearwater has shot seismic for multiple planned storage projects in different countries. The projects required different solutions to achieve the high-resolution imaging needed for assessing the reservoirs for storage application.

The company has deployed hybrid methods with both towed streamers and nodes and new acquisition geometries, also working with bathymetric service providers on high-resolution data to analyze the seabed and shallow geology in shallow-water environments.

In addition, Shearwater has worked on projects involving processing and reprocessing data for storage applications.
