LONDON — Tullow Oil says the water injection issues at the Jubilee Field encountered in 2023 have now been resolved. The company expects to bring onstream five more wells (three producers and two water injectors) at the deepwater Jubilee Field offshore Ghana this year.

This will conclude the latest drilling program, about six months ahead of schedule.

The partners now plan to take a break from developing drilling offshore Ghana while existing wells sustain production at Jubilee, and while declines from the TEN Field are minimized.

However, drilling will likely resume in 2025, and the process of procuring a rig will start later this year.
