Three Prosafe rigs on duty offshore Brazil, the UK

Prosafe has issued an update on the status of its offshore accommodation rigs.

LARNACA, CyprusProsafe has issued an update on the status of its offshore accommodation rigs.

TheSafe Notos was off-hire last month from its 222-day contract for Petrobras off Brazil to allow preventive maintenance and repair of the gangway. It recommenced operations in early August.

Another Petrobras-contracted semi,Safe Concordia, completed operations in late July. The vessel will transit to Curacao for lay-up and is available for future work.

TheSafe Boreas finished its contract for Repsol Sinopec on the MonArb project in the UK central North Sea, and recently started a 13-month firm period on hire to Statoil at the Mariner installation in the UK’s East Shetland basin.

TheSafe Caledonia has been working for Total in the UK sector since mid-May.

In mid-June, Prosafe sold theSafe Regency was sold for recycling to Aliaga Turkey for $1.25 million. It now has scrapped five vessels as part of its strategy to high grade its fleet and protect cash flow.
