Bluestream teams with Vroon for Dutch platform inspections

Total E&P Nederland has awarded Bluestream an inspect, repair, and maintenance contract for 36 offshore sites in the Dutch North Sea.

DEN HELDER, the Netherlands – Total E&P Nederland has awarded Bluestream an inspect, repair, and maintenance contract for 36 offshore sites in the Dutch North Sea.

The contract, part of a long-term frame agreement, continues the working relationship between the two companies that started in 2009.

Bluestream will performsubsea inspection of 29 platform structures and seven free standing domes, and the company’s rope access team will inspect parts of the topsides that are difficult to access using standard equipment.

The company has teamed up with Vroon Offshore Services for the offshore program, which will employ Vroon’s DP-2 vesselVOS Sugar.

Bluestream plans to execute the inspection and cleaning work in two phases, the first involving use of the company’s inspection class Seaeye Tiger ROV and the compact work class Seaeye Cougar XT ROV, while divers will be deployed for the second phase.
